I hope you are all enjoying the summer! & taking advantage of the good weather when it’s about that is! LOL!

My 2nd album is now complete!!! I’m just waiting on a release date but as soon as I know you will know!

This album is alittle different from my first album"Dead To The World", I've somehow changed the style of my music slightly, alittle more rock-ish in places with a more edgy lyrical twist which I feel everyone could relate to at some point in their lives. The album lyrically is quite personal but not in as much detail as the first album where I basically exposed my total soul and had people I didn’t even no seeming to know me which was alittle weird due to the brutal honesty of the lyrical content from DTTW.

When I released "Dead To The World" I was quite shocked at the response I got, It sold well for the first 6 months, for me still being unsigned and even though the reviews I got back were good and the response from strangers who had brought the album was also endearing I did get quite a few people saying how the album was very self-absorb, I like that word actually when put to a songwriter but I didn’t think it applied to me personally, well it doesn’t but it does to my music, I can’t think of any musician who isn’t musically self-absorb? It is the best way to be I feel, I mean if you aren’t doing the music / writing it for yourself as a passion and not enjoying it what are you doing it for? FAME? why would anybody want that??! not being able to wander down the street by yourself and having strangers digging into your private life and throwing it onto the front covers of magazines with a twist, but I suppose there are the unfortunate ones that are musical legends and couldn’t help the fact there music was embraced so well by so many in a short period of time and not having enough time to come to terms with their new found success and most of them are in rehab or have just disappeared all together, I can appreciate now the way my musical path is going and taking me, because even if it takes me another 5 years of playing to 10- 100 people in venues and struggling to financially support my albums and tour myself at least I can say I've tried my hardest and even if I never end up in the charts then I know it just wasn’t my calling to be there, but number 1 first and foremost and forever I do this for myself and the joy that it brings me when everything finally snaps into place, whether that be a song or organizing an album, I know I've tried my hardest.

Anyway enough of my thoughts for now I think! LOL! The new album will be released VERY shortly! So if you enjoyed the first album you'll enjoy this even more! I've also entered this year "GLASTONBURY'S 2008 UNSIGNED BANDS COMP" But from maybe 5000 applicants only 60 artists/bands will get an audition, so Im not holding my breath! if all else fails Im going to Glastonbury 2008 anyway this year, I'm in desperate need for mud swimming! LOL!

Some exciting news to share... I've been asked to go to London to go & showcase my music for 3 top record companies, More on this after the showcase happens! V.Exciting!

Also a new addition to my YME band, A New bassist & Vocalist for 2008, I don't seem to have much luck with them! Daniel Stevenson (Guitar) & Nick De Vries (Drums) are very much still part of my band & they will be participating in the recording of the new album.

Hey Music Lovers!

Well! The UK October Tour is set! with some really good nights promised in some great venues throughout the UK & Hopefully I shall get to catch some of you there!

Unfortunately I couldn’t get all the places / venues I wanted, due to Halloween coming up and alot of Main stream signed bands touring at this time of year (Getting ready to get that Christmas number 1 spot!???) But I feel I haven’t done a bad job for organising my first tour!

Thanks to all the Promoters & Venues that have enabled us to perform as part of the tour, myself & The YME’s are SOOOO Excited!

Yvonne-Marie Evans & The YME’s have had a minor change, we have a new bassist “Pete Robertson” Joining us now! So the YME band consists of “Daniel Stevenson” On lead guitar, “Nick De Vries” on drums and “Pete Robertson” on Bass.

Since the album has been released I have been writing SOOOO much and the majority of our live tour set will consist of some very new material, though some tracks from the album are still in there! I now class myself in the genre of Indie / Pop / Rock / Easy Listening, due to the inside need to liven things up, I can’t write sad, emotional songs forever! (Well maybe a few here & there!) So expect a whole new livelier set and some amazing catchy hooked, uplifting rock-a-bout chorus tracks!

I’m also heading back into the recording studio next Sunday to record the live set tracks of the tour and if all goes well I will have them uploaded to my myspace page next week just before the tour starts so you can get a full listen to the whole set before you come down to the show & If you can’t make it, you can here it all here and you won’t be missing out, though the live performance atmosphere will be an adrenaline rush!

The new tracks that will be up soon are “Fallin” / “Birds Still Fly” / “Carry On” / “Stuck In My Ways” & the newest track I wrote only 3 weeks ago, “Again” I really feel that these new tracks totally show me and what my music is about, I still love what I did with the debut album “Dead To The World” but when your performing real easy listening tracks for a long period of time it can loose it’s elements of fun, so these new tracks have set the fire alight once again for me within my music!

Thanks to you guys who came down to “The Tunnels” in Aberdeen last Sunday! That was a good night & not a bad turn out either for a cold Sunday night! Thanks to “Kashmir Red” / “Katie Green” & “Fiasco”! Who also performed, these bands are awesome and if you haven’t heard of them go check them out on Myspace!

I’m having problems with creating a music page on my site, so please bare with me for now as I’m hoping to have this sorted soon, but for now there’s the myspace!

I'm in current talks to start planning my UK Tour for September 2007!! I will be doing many shows over a period of 2 weeks Up and down the country so keep an eye out for news on this!

My radio campaign for the album will now begin in june/july since the album destroyed my bank account! LOL! :-) but from me to you, It was well worth it!!!
